#1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to AwAn Marriage Bureau (the "Platform"), a subscription-based matrimonial portal designed specifically for Pakistani families seeking suitable matchmaking services. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and services.

By registering an account, creating a profile, or accessing any part of the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all access and use of the Platform.

#2. Eligibility

To register an account or create a profile on AwAn Marriage Bureau, you must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or older at the time of registration.
  • Be legally capable of entering into binding contracts under the laws of Pakistan.
  • Create a profile for the sole purpose of seeking a legitimate marital relationship (matrimonial match) for yourself or for an adult child/ward whom you legally represent.

For profiles created by parents, guardians, or relatives on behalf of an adult candidate, you warrant that you have obtained explicit consent from the candidate. The candidate must be fully aware that their profile is registered on the Platform, and all submitted information must be verified by them.

#3. Account Registration

To enhance security, verify identity, and prevent fraudulent registrations, AwAn Marriage Bureau supports social authentication only. At launch, you may only register and log in using the following secure OAuth providers:

  • Google Authentication
  • Facebook Authentication
  • Apple Authentication

Traditional email and password sign-ups are not supported. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your OAuth credentials. The Platform is not liable for any unauthorized access resulting from compromised social media accounts.

#4. Candidate Profiles

Registered users can manage matchmaking profiles on the Platform under the following terms:

Multiple Profiles Allowed

To support Pakistani families with multiple children, a single registered account is permitted to create and manage multiple independent candidate profiles (e.g., a father managing separate profiles for his son and daughter).

Accuracy & Verification

The account holder is fully responsible for the completeness, truthfulness, and ongoing accuracy of all submitted information. Providing false, misleading, or fabricated details is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account suspension.

Completeness & Search Ranking

Profile completeness scores are calculated based on the number of completed fields. Fully completed profiles with verified details are granted higher visibility and will rank higher in search results performed by other members.

Profile Lifecycle States

Candidate profiles progress through the following lifecycle states:

  • Active: Fully visible and searchable, with active match interactions.
  • Inactive: Automatically triggered if a user does not log in for 60 consecutive days. Inactive profiles are temporarily hidden from search results.
  • Expired: Subscriptions have ended. Features are restricted until a renewal is completed.
  • Completed: Matchmaking was successful. These profiles are archived and scheduled for auto-deletion.
  • Deleted: Permanently removed from active servers at the user's request.

#5. Subscription Plans & Billing

AwAn Marriage Bureau is a premium matrimonial service offering subscription plans to unlock search features, contact details, and match interactions:

Extension & Renewal Rules

Active Basic 1-Week subscribers can upgrade or extend their subscription to the Basic 1-Month tier by paying an additional Rs. 5,000 during or immediately after their active 7-day period.

Refund Policy

[Refund Policy TBD] All fees paid to the Platform are non-refundable. Since digital services are activated immediately upon payment receipt, we do not offer refunds, partial credits, or pro-rated extensions for early terminations or unused periods.

Payment Processing & Liability

All online financial transactions are processed securely via our integration partner PayFast (gopayfast.com). The transaction carries a standard 3% Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) which is paid during billing. PayFast supports major payment channels, including Visa/Mastercard credit and debit cards, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, direct bank transfers, and Raast.

The Platform is not liable for transaction failures, delayed activations, double-deductions, or any bank/wallet processing errors arising from the PayFast gateway. All billing disputes relating to payment processor errors must be resolved with PayFast or your financial institution.

#6. Profile Discoverability

To maximize successful matches, the Platform operates a freemium discoverability model:

  • Unpaid profiles with complete basic details are discoverable in search queries performed by active paid (Basic or Premium) members.
  • For unpaid profiles, the candidate's full name is completely hidden, and all uploaded profile photos are automatically blurred by the system.
  • Unpaid users will receive automated email or system notifications when a paid member expresses interest in their profile.
  • To unlock blurred photos, see the full name, or reply to interests, unpaid users must upgrade to a paid subscription.

By registering an account and submitting a candidate profile, you explicitly consent to this discoverability model, allowing paid members to search and locate your profile in an anonymized, blurred format.

#7. Privacy & Data Controls

We place the highest value on your privacy. The Platform provides granular controls to manage your public data footprint:

Photo & Media Privacy Settings

You can toggle your profile photo visibility using our three-tier security model: (1) Hidden from all users; (2) Show only on request (requires you to manually approve photo requests); or (3) Visible to Premium paid subscribers automatically.

Contact Privacy Settings

Your contact number can also be configured using the same three-tier settings. Contact sharing is restricted by subscription level and your manual approval.

CNIC Verification

To ensure a safe environment, we collect your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number. The CNIC is encrypted at rest, utilized strictly for administrative verification, and is NEVER visible or shared with other platform members.

Special-Category Data Explicit Consent

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2025, certain sensitive data points require your separate explicit consent at profile creation. This includes religious sect/practice level, health or disability details, and marital history (Divorced/Widowed/Khula along with child custody details). Details regarding special-category data processing are outlined in our Privacy Policy.

#8. Prohibited Conduct

Users of the Platform must behave ethically and respect other members. The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Submitting false, inaccurate, outdated, or fabricated profile details (e.g., lying about age, qualification, income, or marital status).
  • Registering under a false identity or impersonating another individual.
  • Using contact numbers or emails obtained through the Platform to harass, spam, or solicit members for non-matrimonial services, commercial products, or financial requests.
  • Engaging in abusive, obscene, sectarian, or derogatory behavior in chats, requests, or interactions.
  • Using automated bots, scrapers, or software to crawl the Platform or extract member database directories.
  • Attempting to circumvent subscription walls or share paid accounts with external users.

#9. Intellectual Property Rights

The AwAn Marriage Bureau brand, logo, codebase, visual designs, database structure, and systems are protected by trademark and copyright laws. All Platform intellectual property is jointly owned by AwAn Marriage Bureau (Muhammad Akmal Awan) and its technical partner Maxxsol (Jalal Haider Makki).

By submitting text, photos, or other details to the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, encrypt, compress, and process your content for the sole purpose of providing matchmaking services to you and other members.

#10. Limitation of Liability

AwAn Marriage Bureau operates solely as an online matching utility to facilitate introductions between Pakistani families. We do not operate as an in-person investigation agency.

  • We do not verify the complete offline character, background, or medical health of members. It is the absolute responsibility of the families involved to conduct comprehensive offline background checks before committing to a proposal.
  • We are not liable for any emotional distress, physical harm, financial fraud, or marital disputes arising from matches introduced via our Platform.
  • We do not guarantee that your registration will result in a successful match or marriage proposal.
  • All platform tools, algorithms, and suggestions are provided on an 'as-is' and 'as-available' basis without warranty of any kind.

#11. Profile Deletion & Termination

We support our users' right to manage their profile lifecycle on the Platform:

  • Account holders can request profile deletion at any time through their settings panel.
  • Profiles marked as 'Completed' (when a match is successfully made) are archived and permanently deleted from our servers 3 months after completion to ensure complete database hygiene.
  • The Platform reserves the right to suspend, freeze, or permanently terminate any profile or account immediately without a refund if we find credible evidence of a breach of our Prohibited Conduct policy.

#12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions and your relationship with the Platform are governed by and construed in accordance with the federal and provincial laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with the Platform's matchmaking services, payments, or privacy policies shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Lahore, Pakistan.

#13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect software updates, regulatory compliance changes, or business model adjustments.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these terms. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes automatic acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
